Two weeks after undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, Giuliana Rancic was back on the set E! News on Tuesday.

“Even if I moved a little slower than usual today, everyone welcomed me with open arms and it was a wonderful return,” she said in a statement on the website of the network.

Rancic, 37, had surgery Dec. 13 after lumpectomy failed to eradicate the cancer.

“It’s great to be back at work,” she said. “I did not know if I would return to E! Newsthis week or after the new year. The last thing I wanted to do was to hasten my recovery. ”

She adds, “Fortunately, I felt better every day since surgery and this weekend my doctors gave me the green light to get back to work.”
